Krafton is now reportedly developing its new game based on The Bird That Drinks Tears, a series of Korean fantasy novels. The developer has high hopes for the project. The plan is to grow the IP into something similar to what CDPR has done with The Witcher franchise.

PUBG company KRAFTON announced it it has signed Adi Shankar to create and showrun an animated project based on its hit franchise.

It’s been almost a year since PUBG Mobile was banned in India. Krafton finally managed to re-release it as Battlegrounds Mobile India less than two weeks ago, and the game has already reached its first milestones.

Nine months after being banned in India, PUBG Mobile has become available for download again. The game is now called Battlegrounds Mobile India. Prior to its Android release, it gained over 20 million pre-registrations on Google Play in just two weeks.

Krafton has officially announced that it is going public next month. The company behind PUBG is now planning to raise ₩5.6 trillion ($5 billion) through IPO.

Players will no longer be able to play PUBG Lite, a special version of the battle royale for low-end PCs. The developers announced that they will close the game’s servers on April 29.
