PUBG company KRAFTON announced it it has signed Adi Shankar to create and showrun an animated project based on its hit franchise.
Shankar has previously worked on Netflix Original Series Castlevania. He is also working on adaptations of the Far Cry and Devil May Cry games. With the PUBG animated show, Shankar hopes to take “another step in the evolution of mending the torched bridge between the games industry and Hollywood.”
For KRAFTON, the partnership with Adi Shankar exemplifies its “recent diversification of its IP business, which seeks to expand original IP into larger multimedia franchises.”
