Players will no longer be able to play PUBG Lite, a special version of the battle royale for low-end PCs. The developers announced that they will close the game’s servers on April 29.

Krafton shared the news on the game’s official website. “Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close service after much deliberation and the time has come for our journey to end,” the statement reads.

The game is already unavailable for new downloads. On April 29, PUBG Studio will end the service of PUBG Lite, while player support will be stopped on May 29.

Krafton hasn’t disclosed the reason behind the decision yet. However, the company apologized to all the fans: “We truly hope you have enjoyed your time with us and please look forward to our future endeavors.”

PUBG Lite has been live since 2019.
