Crytek has joined the list of studios to adopt remote work. The company will make the work-from-home option permanent for most of its employees.

Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9, Elysium, and Chappie, has joined developer Gunzilla Games. Blomkamp, who has stepped in as Chief Visionary Officer, is working on the studio’s unannounced AAA multiplayer shooter with narrative elements.

Marcel Hatam, currently International Brand Manager at Ubisoft and formerly Brand Manager at Crytek, has shared his thoughts on Bild’s coverage of the potential acquisition talks between Crytek and Tencent.

According to German tabloid Bild, Tencent has plans to acquire Germany-based Crytek for over €300 million via its European subsidiary. Bild claims that it’s not games that the Chinese giant might be after.

Crytek has been trying to make Crysis 4 since at least 2017, according to data leaked by ransomware gang Egregor.

Crytek has officially confirmed Crysis Remastered and shared some details.

Crytek is working on Crysis Remastered. The game will come out on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch.

Crytek is rolling out its CRYENGINE on mobile. The company is inviting developers to sign up for a beta program on Android, which will launch later in 2020.
