The studio is also unique in not having producers or production managers to run things. Instead of conventional managerial structure, the company relies on department leads to steer production processes. Sounds very cool, right? Nobody to impose crunch on developers. World War Z zombie shooter dramatically boosted revenue growth for Focus Home Interactive in the first fiscal quarter. The game developed by Saber Interactive is responsible for 42% of the publisher’s earnings for the period.
Moddability to arrive on Microsoft Store
The PC gaming department of Microsoft Store has been historically lagging behind its competitors. However, last year, the company acquired several game studios including Obsidian and inXile. Then, in June, Microsoft launched Xbox Games Pass on PC, with over 100 big titles arriving on its storefront as part of the subscription. And last week, it seems, the publisher started implementing another feature to revamp Microsoft Store – the modding option.
