343 Industries will be shipping Halo Infinite in Fall 2021. That’s almost a year later than the originally planned November 2020 release date.

The decision was made after the feedback on the July campaign demo came back from fans. The team plans to spend that extra time “building, testing, and polishing.”
This is coming from Joseph Staten, one of creators of Halo, who returned to the franchise to oversee the development as creative director.
The devs are currently working to improve indirect lighting, global illumination, material response, foliage and tree rendering, clouds, level-of-detail transitions, and facial animation. Staten specifically stated that the development is progressing “at a healthy pace.” The entire team will now be takin a break for the Holidays to come back in January.
