Valve has rolled out a News Hub for Steam as the latest of its Steam Labs experiment.
The new tool looks at games in your library and wishlist, titles you follow or the ones Steam recommends. Based on that, it generates a personalized feed to keep you up to speed with “updates, announcements, and events from the games you play and games you are interested in.”
The News Hub will specifically highlight live events, as well as the recent and upcoming ones.
The content of the hub is adjustable. You can opt out of news that are not relevant to you.
The new feature will work on PC and mobile devices.
Valve is confident that the feature will stick around. Releasing it as part of Steam Labs is just a way for the company to fine-tune the system based on user feedback.
