Battlegrounds Mobile India, the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, has been approved to be relaunched in the country. This follows a 10-month ban the Indian government has imposed on the game over national security concerns.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), a separate version of PUBG Mobile, has been banned in India due to its data sharing in China. This came after Krafton announced its plans to increase its investments in the country’s games market.

Krafton has been building up its presence in the Indian market after relaunching PUBG Mobile in the country last year. The company has already invested $100 million in local startups, planning to double that amount this year.

It’s been almost a year since PUBG Mobile was banned in India. Krafton finally managed to re-release it as Battlegrounds Mobile India less than two weeks ago, and the game has already reached its first milestones.
