Hundreds of thousands of players continue to flock to Baldur’s Gate 3 every day, even almost two weeks after its launch. The latest game from Larian Studios has just broken its own record for peak concurrent users.

Baldur's Gate 3 peaks at over 875k concurrent players, just 4k short of this year's leader Hogwarts Legacy

On August 13, Baldur’s Gate 3 peaked at 875,343 concurrent users (CCU), according to SteamDB. This is 60k more than its previous record of 814,666 CCU set on August 6.

Right now, the game is just 3,965 concurrent players shy of Hogwarts Legacy, the biggest Steam launch of 2023 by that metric. These are truly impressive results, given that Larian Studios itself didn’t expect the numbers to be this high.

Yesterday, Baldur’s Gate 3 was the second most played game on Steam, with CS:GO still holding the throne with over 1.2 million CCU that day. It outperformed Dota 2 (668k CCU), Apex Legends (405k), and PUBG (385k).

With its latest record, Baldur’s Gate 3 cemented its spot in the top 10 Steam games of all time by peak concurrent players. It is now right between Hogwarts Legacy (879.3k) and Goose Goose Duck (702.8k).
