Persona 5 and its spin-offs have reached a new sales milestone. The collection of games remains the best-selling entry in the entire franchise.

As spotted by Persona Central, Sega shared the new data following the recent announcement of Persona 5 Tactica.

  • The series, which currently includes four titles — the original version released in 2016, the Royal edition, and the Strikers and Dancing in Starlight spin-offs — has now sold over 9 million units.
  • This is up 700k copies from the 8.3 million milestone that Atlus reported in November 2022. As of March 31, the remastered version of Persona 5 Royal had sold 1.7 million copies since its launch in October 2022.
  • Back in November, Atlus also reported that the entire Persona series had surpassed 16.8 million copies sold globally. The company hasn’t disclosed the updated figures, but Persona Central estimates total sales at 17.7 million units.
  • This means that the Persona 5 series accounts for more than 50% of the franchise’s total sales.
  • With the upcoming release of Persona 5 Tactica on November 17, the collection of games has every chance to strengthen its position as the best-selling entry in the entire Persona franchise.
