Box Dragon is a new studio formed by Riot Games and Stunlock Studios former employees. The Coffee Stain-backed team is now working on its debut title.
Publisher Coffee Stain, which was acquired by Embracer Group in 2020, will help Box Dragon develop and launch its upcoming game. Besides its post-apocalyptic setting, there is not much known about the project.
“The partnership has also empowered us to grow our team with even more talented and creative members as we continue development, and I can’t wait to see what we can create together with Coffee Stain,” Box Dragon CEO Karl Bergström said (via GamesIndustry.biz).
Bergström formed the studio with former Stunlock game director Kevin Chang. Aleks Nikonov, who worked as senior concept artist at Riot Games, will run the team as art director.
