Larian continues to expand and opens a new office in Barcelona. It consists of the BlitWorks development team, a studio known for porting games on different platforms.

The Baldur’s Gate 3 developer shared the news on June 2, also listing new jobs in Barcelona.

Larian acquired Spanish studio BlitWorks in an asset deal, and now its developers will join the new office and work on Larian titles only. It doesn’t mean that BlitWorks will be dismissed, as another part of the team will focus on publishing games.

BlitWorks, founded in 2012, is best known for porting games to PlayStation, Xbox, PC, mobile, and other platforms. It also worked on making a Nintendo Switch version of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Larian Studio is now still working on Baldur’s Gate 3, which was released in early access last October. The company now has seven studios in Dublin, Ghent, Quebec, Kuala Lumpur, Guildford, Saint Petersburg, and Barcelona.
