Amid global support for Ukraine, more companies are suspending their business operations in Russia. Sony, Nintendo, WarnerMedia, and some other studios have joined the ongoing exodus.

Supercell, a world-famous mobile developer and publisher, has taken the next step in its support of Ukraine. The company decided to remove all of its games from digital storefronts in Russia and Belarus.

Vlad Suglobov, the CEO of G5 Entertainment, has opened up about supporting Ukrainian employees, opening new offices in other countries, and his decision to not suspend selling games in Russia.

The list of companies suspending or stopping their business in Russia is getting bigger. Microsoft has announced its decision to stop all new sales of its products and services in the country while also committing to helping and supporting Ukraine.

Some members of the GitHub community have been asking to ban Russian users for a week now. The platform, however, has decided to not restrict any developers, adding that it will still continue to examine government mandates. 

Kevuru Games, an outsource studio based in Ukraine, has cut ties with clients from Russia. It also fired employees who “expressed a neutral position or supported Russia” in the wake of the latest events.

Wargaming has stated its commitment to help its Ukrainian employees. The company behind World of Tanks will help employees and their families relocate to other countries and will donate $1 million for humanitarian aid.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation has shared a report on the local IT industry. It lists all tech companies in the country, including the ones making video games.

French publisher Nacon has responded to the open letter posted by The Sinking City developer Frogwares.

Starni Games have announced a new title in the Strategic Mind franchise, called Strategic Mind: Spectre of Communism. It’s a turn-based strategy with strong RPG elements offering the USSR’s perspective on WW2. The game will follow the historical path up to Berlin, but will also have an alternate history ending after the end of WW2. This will apparently include “staging the world Communist revolution,” according to the game’s description on Steam.
