Roskomnadzor, Russia’s federal agency responsible for censorship in media, has offered to develop an AI-based solution to search for banned content in video games. However, this initiative caused debate among industry professionals.

GWENT is known for its outstanding arts, but the Chinese version of the game has suffered from censorship a lot. CD Projekt had to cut all violent and NSFW content, which suddenly gave cards weird (and sometimes hilarious) context.

On July 21, the Poland-based developer of SUPERHOT VR issued an update to the game, which removed scenes alluding self-harm or sucide. Backlash from players ensued. However, the developer said it would not reverse the changes.
