Angry Birds 2 remains the highest-grossing game in Rovio’s portfolio. It has just hit a new milestone, surpassing $500 million in lifetime revenue.

Rovio has issued a financial report for the first quarter of 2022. Despite the overall decline in the mobile free-to-play market, the company behind Angry Birds managed to achieve record gaming revenue.

New Mexico has filed a federal lawsuit against Rovio Entertainment. The company is accused of collecting children’s personal information in Angry Birds.

Angry Birds creator Rovio has made a deal to use Moomin characters in its upcoming mobile games. The studio also made an investment into Gutsy Animations, hoping to diversify its IP portfolio.

Rovio earned €66.6 million in Q1 2020, down 6% year-on-year. However, the publisher’s pre-tax profits grew 53% to €11.5 million. This the Angry Birds company achieved by reducing its UA costs.
