Last week, Microsoft and Hideo Kojima reportedly signed a letter of intent. The partnership that might come out of this letter will see Kojima create a cloud-based game using Microsoft’s Azure tech.

Following the news of a potential deal being signed, over 700 concerned gamers hurried to do some signing of their own. They have taken to Change.org to extinguish any collaboration between Kojima and Microsoft before it is even confirmed.

“Kojima is betraying his loyal fans,” the petition reads. “He has been blinded by greed. We must help him come back to the winning side.”

Despite the energetic opening, the petition concludes on a more pleading note: “Not everyone has good enough internet to stream games. Not everyone has enough money to buy a new console or build a new PC. Please Kojima, dont leave us.”
