Last week, Devolver Digital officially went public, raising $261 million at a $950 million valuation. On top of that, the publisher also announced an acquisition of three studios, including creators of the Stronghold series.

Devolver Digital will get $50 million in proceeds, according to
VentureBeat. The selling shareholders and investors, including the management team and NetEase, will get the rest of the sum.

The publisher debuted on the Alternative Investment Market for the London Stock Exchange on November 3. According to reports, it also got a 5% investment from Sony.

In its blogpost, Devolver Digital said that this money will help it continue to “invest into all the games we’re working on now, partner on new ones that we’ve previously not been able to consider, and add more of the fine people we love working with into our cadre of consummate video game professionals.”

Devolver Digital also bought Dodge Roll (roguelike Enter the Gungeon), Nerial (Reigns) и FireFly Studios (Stronghold series). These studios will join Croteam (Serious Sam), which was acquired by the publisher last year.
