Genshin Impact has become a huge hit, helping Chinese studio miHoYo earn almost $800 million last year. The developers are now reportedly planning to extend its roadmap to 12 years.

According to DualShockers, the leak came from Arkywzx, who provided some insides on Genhsin Impact before. If the report is true, miHoYo will extend its initial 5-year content plan to support the game for over 10 years.

Genshin Impact receives big updates every six weeks, giving players new characters, quests, items, and extending the story. The next version of the game will reportedly add a housing system, two new characters, and dozens of weapons.

The reason miHoYo might have decided to extend the roadmap is that Genshin Impact has already become extremely profitable. The game surpassed $1 billion in revenue in less than six months, setting an all-time record for any mobile title.
