Facebook announced its plans to retire Flash support back in June following Adobe’s decision to stop distributing the Flash player in 2020.

December 31, 2020, will be the last day for FarmVille, released in 2009.

Users will be able to make in-game purchases until November 17, after which the system will be disabled. Players will also have to spend all the currency before the end of the year, as there is no refund option.

FarmVille was one of the titles that made the genre of farming games popular. After its launch, it remained the most played game on Facebook for two years.

Over the past 10 years, the games in the series have generated 700 million installs. Zynga will release the series’ third installment on mobile later this year.
