“A small fraction of the workforce” has been laid off at the mobile analytics firm App Annie. This is coming from gamesindustry.biz.

There is no information on the number of employees affected. However, gamesindustry.biz cites a source saying around 18% of the total headcount has been let go.

The company names the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for these “tough choices.”

“With the current macroeconomic climate, we have decided to restructure the company to remain efficient and sadly, have to part ways with some very talented people. We are doing everything that we can, to the best of our abilities, to ensure for their well-being,” App Annie said in a statement.
