18 game companies have launched the #PlayApartTogether campaign. Under the initiative, 18 gaming brands will work with the World Health Organization to disseminate the WHO’s health guidelines through games.
The guidelines will promote players’ awareness of physical distancing, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and other preventive actions to fight COVID-19.
According to BusinessWire, “By incorporating COVID-19 self-protection messages into games, the industry is telling the world: ‘Wherever you are, whatever game you play, you can make a difference.’”
The following companies have signed up:
- Activision Blizzard
- Snap Games

- Big Fish Games
- Pocket Gems
- Glu Mobile
