Remedy Entertainment announced has signed with a “major publisher” for two multi-platform titles.

On both occasions, that the publisher will fully fund the game development costs, and Remedy will receive 50% share of the net revenue from the games’ sales. The developer will also keep the ownership of the games’ IP.

The first project is an AAA multi-platform game. It is currently in pre-production. The second game is smaller in scale and is set in the same franchise. Both projects use Remedy’s proprietary Northlight engine.

“The partnership extends Remedy’s strategy of creating and developing its own IP’s into long-term franchises. Both games will be launched on next generation console platforms and PC in the next few years,” the announcement reads.

More details will follow today via a press release.
