GDC is currently streaming virtual talks on Twitch that should have taken place during the offline event this week.
Many of the speakers who had planned to speak in person at GDC 2020 have agreed to have their prerecorded talks streamed. The current schedule is available at GDC’s official website. It makes sense to check it in real time, since additions are possible as more submissions from speakers come in.
The current schedule includes a wide range of topics including Production & Team Management, Game Narrative, Design, Programming, Marketing, and more.
The Game Developers Conference previously said they would still run the event offline in August 2020. At this time, however, it’s unclear whether this is still the plan.
In addition to the recorded versions of GDC talks, the Independent Games Festival and Game Developers Choice Awards ceremonies will stream online.
