Balatro has been a smash success for solo developer LocalThunk. The poker deck-building roguelike has reached a new milestone, selling over 500k copies in 10 days.

Balatro is one of the many successful indie games we have already seen this year. The poker deck-building roguelike, made by solo dev LocalThunk, exceeded expectations and became profitable almost immediately after launch.

Nightingale and Balatro are drastically different games released on the same day: one is a Victorian survival title and the other is a poker roguelike. But they both managed to attract tens of thousands of concurrent players at launch.
