Genshin Impact has become the number one mobile game by consumer spend in the first quarter of 2022 globally, according to the latest report by data.ai. miHoYo’s title had a strong impact on the rise of the open world RPG subgenre.

  • Genshin Impact reached $530 million in player spending on iOS and Android during the quarter ending March 31.
  • It is followed by Roblox, Honor of Kings, and Candy Crush Saga, with PUBG Mobile and Free Fire closing the top 10.
  • According to data.ai’s estimates, miHoYo’s mobile hit has generated around $2.7 billion since its launch in September 2020. However, AppMagic previously estimated the game’s lifetime player spending at over $3 billion.
