Habby has launched a sequel to its mobile hit Archero, a game often considered a pioneer of the hybrid-casual model. The new title is already showing impressive results on iOS and Android.

  • Archero 2 became available globally last week, a few months after its soft-launch in late September 2024. According to AppMagic, the game generated $8 million in net revenue from in-app purchases (reduced by platform fees and inclusive taxes) from January 8 to January 18.
  • It has also topped 3.5 million downloads globally. The top 5 countries by installs are the US, Japan, France, Germany, and Spain.

  • The US is the number one country by revenue, accounting for 29.5% of the total. It is followed by Japan (18.8%), South Korea (11.2%), Taiwan (8.6%), and China (4.8%).
  • Note that AppMagic doesn’t track data from third-party Android stores, so the figures for China only apply to iOS. There is also no way to check how much money the game makes from ads, which is an essential part of its monetization.
  • For comparison, the original Archero generated $900.9k in IAP revenue in its first 11 days (note that it launched on Google Play five days later than on the App Store).
  • Overall, Archero’s lifetime net revenue is estimated at over $263 million (since 2019), with nearly 96 million downloads. It remains the second-biggest game in Haby’s portfolio, behind only Survivor.io ($464.5 million).

  • When taking into account the soft-launch period, Archero 2 has already surpassed $31 million in net IAP revenue, with over 8 million downloads.
  • According to Sensor Tower, Archero 2 successfully acquired users through both organic and paid channels. The game attracted the core audience of its predecessor. Analysts also noted that Habby used full-screen and rewarded ads, also benefiting from the title’s very brief 28-second tutorial.
