After a short holiday break, we’re back with our weekly roundup of the top-grossing games on Steam. Here are the key changes on the charts over the past seven days.

Counter-Strike 2 was the highest-grossing product on Steam for the week of January 7-14. Valve’s evergreen hit tops the charts for the second week in a row, especially given the lack of new major releases). As we pointed out in our State of Steam report, CS2 spent 23 weeks at #1 last year, and there is no sign of the game losing its leading position in 2025.

Marvel Rivals rose two positions to #2 overall after the start of its first season. NetEase’s free-to-play shooter also broke its CCU record over the weekend, peaking at over 644k concurrent players. Path of Exile 2 dropped to 5th place, but it continues to lead among premium titles.

Last week saw several upcoming games rise on the charts thanks to strong pre-orders. Monster Hunter Wilds jumped 13 positions to #8 overall (#2 when only looking at premium titles). It is followed by Civilization VII, which moved up 26 spots to #10 (#3 among premium games), while Kingdom Come: Deliverance II ranked 20th (↑55 positions).

All three games are launching next month, so it will be interesting to see how they perform on the charts. It is worth noting that Monster Hunter Wilds is currently the most wishlisted upcoming title on Steam, with Civilization VII and KCD II ranking 4th and 14th, respectively.

Below are the top 10 games by gross revenue for the week of January 7-14, excluding Steam Deck and free-to-play titles:

  1. Path of Exile 2
  2. Monster Hunter Wilds
  3. Sid Mier’s Civilization VII
  4. GTA V
  5. Helldivers 2
  6. Call of Duty
  7. EA Sports FC 25
  8. Rust
  9. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Top 20 highest-grossing products on Steam, including F2P titles and Steam Deck, for the week of January 7-14

Limbus Company, a free-to-play dungeon crawler / auto battler with gacha mechanics, returned to the charts at #13 overall. This is largely due to recent updates and the new Walpurgis Night event (a series of missions with rewards).

Developed by South Korean indie studio Project Moon, Limbus Company occasionally rises on the Steam charts and shows a gradual audience growth. Last week, the game also reached a new all-time high of 69.3k concurrent players.

Other titles that returned to the top 100 highest-grossing products on Steam last week were Torchlight: Infinite (#34), Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader (#38), and MapleStory (#49).
