The Steam charts are now dominated by Japanese games, with some strong performance from indie titles. Here are the top products on the platform by gross revenue over the past seven days.

Metaphor: ReFantazio becomes 2nd highest-grossing premium game on Steam following its global launch

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero remained the highest-grossing premium game on Steam for the week of October 8-15, behind only Valve’s free-to-play hit Counter-Strike 2.

Following its global launch on October 11, Metaphor: ReFantazio jumped 18 positions to #3 overall (#2 when only looking at premium titles). Atlus’ new JRPG peaked at 85.9k concurrent players over the weekend, also selling over 1 million copies across all platforms in its first 24 hours.

Despite moving down a few spots, EA Sports FC 25, Silent Hill 2, and Diablo IV all retained their high rankings from the previous week.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 dropped out of the top 10 for the first time in seven weeks. Black Myth: Wukong also fell 12 places to #22 overall.

Interestingly, Detroit: Become Human returned to the charts at #13 (#8 among premium titles). Thanks to a 70% discount, the game saw a surge in player interesting, breaking its CCU record and peaking at over 21k concurrent players over the weekend. Quantic Dream CEO recently shared that Detroit: Become Human has now sold over 10 million copies globally.

Top 20 highest-grossing products on Steam, including F2P titles and Steam Deck, for the week of October 8-15

Stardew Valley experienced a surge in weekly gross revenue, climbing 67 places to #11 overall (#6 among premium games) thanks to a 50% discount.

Looking at other games that soared the Steam charts last week, indie multiplayer game Liar’s Bar ranked 12th overall (↑41 positions), Destiny 2 landed at 14th place (↑40) following the launch of the Revenant episode, and The First Descendant placed 17th (↑35).

Thanks to a free weekend and 80% discount, co-op side-scrolling strategy/tower defense game Kingdom Two Crowns returned to the charts at #34 overall, and its Call of Olympus DLC landed at #63. The game also broke its CCU record, peaking at 26.6k concurrent users.

Other titles that returned to the top 100 include The Planet Crafter (#28), Limbus Company (#33), Europa Universalis IV (#38), Rise of the Tomb Raider (#40), Granblue Fantasy: Relink (#46), and PowerWash Simulator (#52).
