Honkai: Star Rail has reached an impressive milestone in less than a year since its global launch in April 2023. This proves miHoYo’s strength in making successful live service games.

Honkai: Star Rail surpasses 100 million downloads globally, miHoYo announces

miHoYo announced that Honkai: Star Rail has been downloaded over 100 million times across all platforms (PC, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5). So it took the game less than 10 months to cross this mark.

The studio also added support for the recently released Apple Vision Pro through the special Compatibility Mode. This might be great news for enthusiasts who already own the expensive headset.

It is unclear how downloads are split between platforms, but lifetime installs of Honkai: Star Rail’s mobile version are estimated at 39.9 million (via AppMagic). China is the number one country by downloads, accounting for 18% of the total. It is followed by the US (12%), Indonesia (7%), Japan (6.3%), and Russia (5.7%).

According to AppMagic data, Honkai: Star Rail generated over $6 million on mobile in its first 24 hours, outperforming Genshin Impact by first-day revenue. The game’s IAP revenue topped $130 million one month after its global launch, with China, Japan, the US, South Korea, and Taiwan being the top five markets. Last September, gaming research firm Naavik reported that it had crossed $1 billion in mobile revenue.

In other news about miHoYo, Genshin Impact recently topped $5 billion in player spending on iOS and Android, making it the fastest mobile title to reach this milestone. It is now ahead of other hits like Clash of Clans, Monster Strike, and Honor of Kings.
