CD Projekt has revealed the amount of dividend payments to its shareholders. They will receive over $20 million, which is almost half of the company’s annual profit but five times less compared to the previous year.

  • According to a regulatory announcement, CD Projekt stockholders will receive PLN 100.7 million (around $22.3 million), with 1 zloty per share.
  • This is less than 50% of the company’s net profit of PLN 219 million ($48.6 million) for 2021. The rest of the sum will be allocated to reinvestments and other needs.
  • CD Projekt executives, most of whom are also the company’s largest stockholders, will receive around a quarter of the dividend payment. The list includes co-founder Marcin Iwiński ($2.8 million), CFO Piotr Nielubowicz ($1.5 million), president Adam Kiciński ($938k), and CD Projekt RED head Adam Badowski ($155k).
  • The company’s co-founder Michał Kiciński, who controls 10.37% of shares but currently doesn’t participate in CD Projekt’s operations, will get $2.3 million.
  • The $22.3 million dividend is five times less than what CD Projekt shareholders received last year following Cyberpunk 2077’s commercially successful launch.
  • In 2021, the company allocated PLN 503 million ($111 million) to the dividend payment, with five board members getting $28 million.

CD Projekt stock has been plunging for a while now due to all the controversy surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 and other news about the company. The shares dropped to 2018 lows earlier this month, with some analysts halving the target price.
