Back in April, Nekki launched character animation software Cascadeur in Early Access. Since then, its user base has increased from 70,000 animators to more than 80,000. Now, the company approved a budget of $1.5 million for the further development.

This new funding will allow Nekki to improve Cascadeur’s AI-supported Deep Physics tools, as well as expand the functional scope of the software. To support this expansion, the team of currently 25 developers is expected to grow to 30.

Cascadeur is set for a 2022 release.
