Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, a mobile spin-off of the famous platformer series, hit more than 8 million downloads in 24 hours. If you count the game’s early iOS release in, the King-developed title has already generated 11.4 million installs.
Sensor Tower confirmed that Crash Bandicoot: On the Run has been downloaded 8.1 million times since its official launch on March 25, while App Annie estimated the number of downloads at 9.1 million in 24 hours.
The game was also released early on iOS in several countries on March 23. It helped Crash Bandicoot: On the Run generate an additional 3.3 million downloads. For comparison, King’s previous game Candy Crush Friends Saga was released in 2018 and hit 1.4 million installs in the first 24 hours.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, developed by King, is a free-to-play mobile runner. The title ranked first on App Store in 82 countries and also became the most downloaded game on Google Play in 31 countries.
