“As a writer/director/producer, I’ve written and designed on over fifty videogames, including the $2.75 Billion grossing mega-hit “Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” writes Whight in the About section of his profile. According to analytics firm Statista, Call of Duty: Black Ops II sold 29.6 million copies as of October 2019.
If the figure is accurate, it’s a timely update on the title’s performance as it’s been around eight years since Activision reported Black Ops II‘s sales data. In 2020, the publisher said the title crossed the $1 billion mark in just 15 days after its launch on November 13, 2012.
