Xsolla’s XDC Contest Canada wrapped up during PC/Console Game Developer Day Canada on June 8. Windigo from Affordance Studio was named The Best Game by Xsolla.

The Best Game according to Xsolla
Affordance Studio’s Windigo, 3D narrative exploration game set in 17th century Canada, was named The Best Game by Xsolla.
Affordance Studio will get $10,000. Additionally, the team will receive:
- soft-commitment from Xsolla Funding Club to co-invest in the game in the amount 20% of the budget requested in funding application (where there is another investor and not more than 250K USD);
- featuring the investment application in the Xsolla Funding Club;
- advisor’s help with finding investments and structuring the investment deal;
- a free package of Xsolla’s core services.
Special Prizes
There were also two secret nominations from Xsolla:
The Tragic Kingdom from Only By Midnight won a special prize and will now receive a $2,000 credit line from Xsolla Partner Network to cover costs of working with influencers and affiliate-networks. The dev team will also get a free package of Xsolla’s core services.
Pitch for The Tragic Kingdom from Only By Midnight
For another special prize, Xsolla selected two games: Season (Scavengers Studio) and Sea Raiders (Watcha Games). The studios will receive free setup, launch and subsequent management of Twitch Drops campaigns via Xsolla Partner Network for a period of 1 month. They will also get a free package of Xsolla’s core services.
