WN Media Group is gearing up for a busy 2024 with more than 30 events planned for video game professionals. Among them is a major conference that will take place in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on February 15-16, 2021.

The UAE is a very appealing region for the gaming industry, says Julia Lebedeva, COO & Partner at WN Media Group.

She cites the stable financial sector, government support, easy business registration and low taxes as some of the factors that create a favorable investment climate.

The UAE has a strong presence of gaming companies and their representative offices, with at least 120 operating in the country, according to Lebedeva.

However, the country has yet to produce its own global market leaders.

The WN Conference aims to provide an opportunity for game professionals to explore the potential of the UAE market and network with local and international professionals.

The event is expected to attract around 800 attendees from various gaming companies. Usually, 40% of WN Conference participants are from the local market, while the rest come to learn about the local scene and make new connections.

The organizers are working with a local government organization that supports the gaming industry. The WN Conference has been especially successful in the MENA region, with previous events held in Turkey and Israel. Lebedeva hopes that the UAE will become a new point of growth for the conference.

The event is scheduled to take place at Yas Marina Circuit, famous for its Formula One track, in Abu Dhabi from February 15 to 16, 2024.

Ticket prices start at €229 (tax excluded) for an indie pass, which does not include party access. A ticket with access to the pre-party will cost €489, and with access to the main party — €639.
