Firesprite, which was acquired by Sony last year, has an unannounced AAA game in development. It will be a horror title for PlayStation 5.
That’s according to a job listing on the studio’s official website (via Resetera). Firesprite is now looking for a narrative director to join the team “for a AAA narrative driven horror-adventure game in Unreal 5.”
There is no more information about the project yet. The narrative director will be responsible for the game’s storytelling and will work on creating its universe and lore. A candidate is required to have “‘Veteran’ levels of experience in game writing / narrative direction.”
Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired Firesprite in September 2021. The UK-based studio, best known for its VR horror The Persistence, is now also working on Horizon Call of the Mountain, a spin-off of the Horizon series made exclusively for upcoming PS VR2.
