IKEA is developing about 30  pieces of gaming furniture that will go on sale in February 2021, starting in China.

As part of this project, IKEA is collaborating with the Asus brand Republic of Gamers (ROG). They will design furniture to “increase performance while also blend in beautifully to homes,” according to Ikea.

IKEA and ROG will set up development in Shanghai and rely on feedback from professional gamers and enthusiasts.

In October 2021, the gaming equipment by IKEA and ROG are expected to become available outside of China.

It only makes sense that IKEA is launching its gaming furniture in China. According to a new study by market researcher Niko Partners, there are 720 million gamers in the country.
