Leyou Technologies Holdings shareholders approved the company’s acquisition by Tencent. The Chinese tech giant Tencent will complete the acquisition through its subsidiary Image Frame Investment on December 23.
According to Daniel Ahmad, Tencent will pay $1.5 billion for Leyou, which owns Warframe developers Digital Extremes, UK work-for-hire studio Splash Damage, and publisher Athlon Games. Athlon is currently working on a Lord of the Rings MMO with Amazon.
