Following the recent investment from Tencent, French hypercasual publisher Voodoo is launching new offices across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
New publishing brunches will open in Singapore and Japan and will work with local studios. Voodoo will coach local devs on how best to optimise, monetise, and market their games.
Julian Corbett will be heading the regional Headquarters as the APAC President based in Singapore. Previously, Corbett was Asia VP of Publishing at Take-Two Interactive. Ben Fox, formerly of Rockstar Games, will be joining his team as Head of Japan.
“We are thrilled to be moving into the APAC region, not only to accelerate our growth in this critical region but also to bring our publishing expertise and unlock international reach for many of the innovative gameplays emerging from this part of the world,” said Corbett. “We remain focused on our mission to find, help, develop, and publish all the great games that can entertain the world.”
Voodoo plans to open more offices in the region. Among the publisher’s most recent international openings are offices in Istanbul, Berlin, Amsterdam and Barcelona.
