Black Myth: Wukong’s reign has finally come to an end following the global launch of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2. Let’s take a closer look at the main changes among the top-grossing games on Steam over the past seven days.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 was the highest-grossing product on Steam for the week of September 3-10 across both premium and free-to-play games, with Black Myth: Wukong falling to 3rd place.
Saber Interactive’s new game successfully launched in Advanced Access last week and became available to everyone on September 9. According to SteamDB, Space Marine 2 reached 225,690 concurrent players yesterday, breaking into the top 10 releases of 2024 by peak CCU.
NBA 2K25 ranked 4th (3rd when only looking at premium games), jumping 30 positions from the previous week. Despite strong commercial performance, it traditionally received mixed reviews (54% positive) from players.
Thanks to a 20% discount and the release of Patch 7, Baldur’s Gate 3 climbed 20 positions to #6 overall (#4 among premium titles). It is really impressive how the game remains in the charts and attracts tens of thousands CCU daily more than a year after its 1.0 launch.
Looking at other titles in the top 10, Age of Mythology: Retold landed at #8 overall (#5 among premium games). The remake of the classic RTS received positive reviews from users, also peaking at over 25k concurrent players after launch.
No Man’s Sky returned to the charts at #10 overall, thanks to a 60% discount and the release of the new free Aquarius update.

Star Trucker, a new truck sim with an interesting twist (it’s set in the space!), debuted at #21 overall. Developed by indie team Monster and Monster and published by Raw Fury, the game currently has a 74% rating on Steam.
Free-to-play dungeon crawler / auto battler Limbus Company returned to the charts at #22 thanks to the new updates and in-game events. It is the third title by South Korean indie studio Project Moon, which continues to develop its own universe across video games and other mediums like comics.
Spectre Divide, a free-to-play online shooter made by Mountaintop Studios (includes veterans from Respawn, Epic, Riot, and Bungie), landed at #35 overall following its launch on September 3. The game peaked at 30.9k CCU and received mixed reviews from players (58% positive).
