Another Crab’s Treasure has reached a new milestone in just over three months after its launch. The game has now sold 500k units globally.
As developer Aggro Crab pointed on social media, this includes sales across all platforms (PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch). Another Crab’s Treasure is also available on Game Pass, but it is unclear how many players have tried the game via Microsoft’s subscription service.
Below are the key sales milestones in the lifecycle of Another Crab’s Treasure:
- 30k copies — in its first 24 hours (April 26);
- 100k copies — in four days (April 29);
- 150k copies — in its first week (May 2);
- 250k copies — in less than a month (May 15);
- 500k copies — in three months and a half (August 6).
In May, Aggro Crab co-founder Nick Kaman told Simon Carless than Steam accounted for around 60% of the game’s sales. GameDiscoverCo also estimated the number of Game Pass players at that time to be nearly 1 million.
Another Crab’s Treasure currently has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with 95% of the 8,950 user reviews being positive. It also peaked at over 4,700 concurrent players (via SteamDB), with users praising the game for its unique take on the Soulslike genre.
Right now, Aggro Crab is still working on improving Another Crab’s Treasure and fixing the remaining bugs and other issues.
