Later this week, China-based games industry professionals will gather at WN Connect Beijing’23. Here are all the details about this invitation-only networking event.
WN Connect Beijing’23 will take place on May 24 at Cafe Groove (Sanlitun, Chaoyang District), running from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm Beijing Time (GMT+8).
On-site participants will be able to expand their professional network, exchange first-hand information while sharing finger food, and win Nintendo Switch during the raffle.
There will also be two fireside chats where invited experts will share some insights and answer questions from the audience. The list of special guests includes:
- Fei Mu — founder of RocketPunch Games, a Beijing-based indie studio known for its 2D platform action game Hardcore Mecha;
- Munan Lv — founder of CROSSINGSTAR STUDIO, which received investments from Tencent and is focused on producing video games and comics.
The on-site part of WN Connect Beijing’23 is invitation-only, so those interested should register to get approved. To get one of 150 free tickets, a person must have a career in the games industry, plus a maximum of two representatives of the same company can be present at the event.
International interested in the Chinese games industry will have a chance to get online access to WN Connect Beijing’23 via the WN Hub communication platform. The price for an online pass is $199.
WN Connect is a series of small business events for 100-150 people usually dedicated to the local games industry. Their main mission is to help developers, managers, investors, and other professionals share their experiences and discuss various business topics.
WN Connect Beijing’23 is the third WN Connect hosted by WN Media Group in China. The company has already organized two similar events in Shenzhen, including the one that took place in April and brought together 150 people from 119 companies such as Tencent, NetEase, and Roblox.
