Hyper-casual publisher Voodoo has now become the third largest company in terms of downloads since the creation of the App Store. The company is now only behind giants like Google and Meta.

Voodoo reached this milestone soon after surpassing 6 billion downloads across its portfolio of more than 200 mobile titles earlier this year.

The hyper-casual publisher is now followed by Tencent (5.7 billion downloads), ByteDance (5.2 billion downloads), and Microsoft (4.8 billion installs).

“This achievement is the result of a never ending hunger for excellence in technology, product innovation, and business operations,” Voodoo co-founder and CEO Alexandre Yazdi said. “We feel now there is no limit to our expansion in new segments of entertaining consumer apps.”

Voodoo also wants to step away from the hyper-casual genre. It is now working on building the blockchain technology to step into the field of mobile play-to-earn games. On top of that, the company expects to surpass $500 million in revenue this year, which would represent a 700% growth over the last five years.
