DStars, Italy’s biggest event celebrating the country’s game developers, will be back on March 25th – 27th.

The fourth edition of DStars will feature an awards ceremony and a conference on game development and business-related topics.

The conference known as DStars Connects is focused on “information exchange with an eye to serving the increasingly significant Italian game business sector.” Last year, the speaker lineup included Obsidian’s Josh Sawyer, Paradox’s Juney Dijkstra, 34BigThings’ Valerio Di Donato, and other international and Italian industry veterans. Sergio Giordani, Mayor of Padua, inaugurated the event. This year’s program will be announced over the next few weeks. English and Italian tracks have been confirmed.

As for the DStars Awards survey, it’s already live and will end on March 4th. In that time, Italian professionals from all around the world will cast their vote for their fellow Italian devs across multiple categories, including STUDIO OF THE YEAR, GAME OF THE YEAR, MANAGEMENT STAR and others. Shortlisted candidates will be revealed on March 18th, and winners will be announced on March 25th.

Following its debut in 2019, DStars has been endorsed by The Italian Ministry of Culture as promoting the Italian industry and facilitating strategic partnerships, networking and educational opportunities.
