GDEV has announced a new milestone for the biggest IP in its portfolio, Hero Wars. The game’s browser version, subtitled Dominion Era, has now reached 75 million installs.

  • According to GDEV, the parent company of mobile developer Nexters, Hero Wars: Dominion Era also surpassed $650 million in lifetime revenue. It took the game around eight years from its launch in October 2016 to cross this mark.
  • This inclues all revenue from the browser-based battler generated across all PC platforms, including its official website and social platforms.
  • SimilarWeb data also shows that Hero Wars: Dominion Era ranked 1st in vists among core browser games in September.
  • When it comes to its mobile version, Hero Wars: Alliance, it topped $1.5 billion in IAP revenue earlier this year, with more than 150 million downloads globally.
  • One of the things that boosted Hero Wars’ revenue recently was its collaboration with the Tomb Raider franchise. GDEV added Lara Croft as a playable character to the game. In its latest financial report, the company noted that the partnership resulted in a 25% increase in new paying users for both versions of the game.
  • As of December 2023, the entire Hero Wars IP had over 7 million monthly active users. The US accounts for 35% of its total bookings, followed Asia (25%) and Europe (20%).
