Landfall’s surprise title Content Warning made a strong debut on the Steam charts, surpassing many successful games in terms of gross revenue. Let’s take a closer look at how different projects performed on the platform last week.

Counter-Strike 2 and Helldivers 2 remained the two highest-grossing games on Steam for the week of April 2-9. Valve’s multiplayer shooter once again topped the charts overall, while Arrowhead’s co-op hit continued to dominate the premium segment.
Content Warning debuted at #5 overall. Launched on April 1, it was free to claim for the first 24 hours, gaining attention from millions of players across the globe and peaking at over 200k concurrent players. It is unclear how many copies of the game were sold after the viral promo event ended, but the figures should be impressive given the base US price of just $7.99.
The main Call of Duty app skyrocketed from 28th to 4th place, driven by a free weekend and the launch of Season 3 for Modern Warfare III and Warzone. As a result, the new battle pass expansion debuted at #8 overall, generating a lot of money for Activision (and Microsoft) last week.
The Elder Scrolls Online climbed 26 positions to #10 overall, thanks to a recent in-game event celebrating the 10th anniversary of Bethesda’s MMORPG.

Looking at other titles on the list, Dragon’s Dogma 2’s weekly gross revenue continued to decline, with the game losing eight positions and landing at #14 overall.
Frontier Developments’ animal management sim Planet Zoo returned to the Steam charts at #17 overall. This is likely thanks to a 75% discount timed with the recent release of the game’s console version.
ARK: Survival Ascended also returned to the chart at #15, thanks to a 20% discount and the launch of the Scorched Earth expansion. And the first Darkest Dungeon landed at #38 after going 90% off on April 1.
Mike Klubnika’s horror twist on a game of Russian roulette, Buckshot Roulette, debuted at #43 overall. This is a strong launch, given its current price of just $2.69.
