Free Fire, which is one of the highest-grossing mobile battle royales globally, has reached a new record. The game’s peak daily active users surpassed 150 million in the second quarter.

Sea Limited shared the results in its latest financial report for the second quarter of 2021. Garena, which operates Free Fire, is a subsidiary of the Singaporean tech conglomerate.

“Truly shows the scale that interactive entertainment as a medium can achieve,” Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad said of the game’s success.

Free Fire reached over 1 billion downloads on Google Play in July, ranking third by average MAU for mobile games on the platform globally.

The battle royale continues to be the highest-grossing mobile title in Latin America, India, and Southeast Asia. Free Fire has also been the highest-grossing mobile battle royale in the US for two consecutive quarters.
