Tencent has acquired a 5% minority stake in Game Science, the developer of Black Myth: Wu Kong.
This is coming from Niko Partners Daniel Ahmad who claims that Game Science studio will continue to operate autonomously after the deal.
Game Science is a Chinese indie studio founded in 2014 staffed with former Tencent Games employees. Their upcoming title Black Myth: Wu Kong is a single player action adventure / RPG based on the Journey to the West lore. The game using UE4 is coming to PC and consoles.
We are yet to learn the release date.
