PlayStation has suspended advertising on Facebook and Instagram until the end of July.

Earlier this week, Microsoft also reportedly put all advertizing on Facebook on hold so that its ads do not appear next to hate speech and misinformation posts. Other big brands like Starbucks, Ford and HP did the same.

By removing ads from Facebook, brands hope to support the #StopHateForProfit campaign, designed to pressure Facebook to more actively eliminate offensive content on its platform.
