Video games are doing great in Poland. There are around 400 developers and publishers in the country, with CD Projekt currently being the most valuable video game company in Europe.

But now the Polish government is upping this game still further.

A survival title This War of Mine from another Plolish star developer 11 bit studios will now be included in the optional school reading list.

As reported by Radio Krakow, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is going to visit the 11 bit studios headquarters on Thursday, June 18. This will be regarding the inclusion of This War of Mine in the school curriculum as “the drama of war seen from the perspective of civilians, containing ethical themes and forcing the player to make far-reaching decisions for which one has to take responsibility.”

According to Morawiecki’s proposal, This War of Mine should be included in the optional school reading list starting from the 2020/2021 academic year.
